Geneva-based Emergo Ventures is expanding its investing scope, according to the firm; its focus now includes so-callled Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Intelligent Workplace Management (IWM).

Dr. Mike Balm, CEO of the Emergo Group, today announced that Emergo Ventures, the venture capital investment organization within the Emergo Group, is expanding its investment scope in technologies such as Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Intelligent Workplace Management (IWM). These technologies leverage digital data and intelligent facilities information beyond their ordinary usage, thus addressing the constant need for efficiency improvement (utilization of work space, product placement, asset tracking, personnel assignments) and, most importantly, energy conservation.
